This bottle stopper was handcrafted with Bolivian Rosewood ~ Bolivian Rosewood Characteristics: Bolivian Rosewood, also known as Morado or Moradillo, is an exotic and imported strikingly beautiful hardwood. It is sold as a substitute for Brazilian Rosewood, and it is very difficult to tell the two apart. The wood has color variations from chocolate or violet-brown to violet streaked with black, often streaked with golden brown. The grain is straight, sometimes wavy. The texture is medium to coarse, and the wood is oily to the touch. The tree is Native to Bolivia and Brazil.
There are no stains or dyes, but rather only a protective finish to enhance the natural wood color.
The metal portion of the stopper is FDA kitchen-grade stainless steel, which is very resistant to corrosion.
