Sugar Maple: The sugar maple is a large hardwood tree that has a gray-brown trunk. Its green to pale-green leaves has five lobes. Its twigs are reddish-brown to light brown, and the buds are brown and sharp-pointed. In the fall, the sugar maple's leaves turn bright yellow, orange and red. Tree Growth: The sugar maple grows slower than most hardwood trees do. On average, it reaches heights of 40 to 70 feet, and its branches spread as far as 45 feet wide. Habitat and range Sugar maples grow in wooded areas throughout most of Minnesota. This tree prefers fertile, moist soil. Also, sugar maples can survive in the shade of larger trees. That means they can grow where many other tree species, which need more sunlight, can't grow.
Bolivian Rosewood Characteristics: Bolivian Rosewood, also known as Morado or Moradillo is an exotic and imported hardwood that is strikingly beautiful. It is sold as a substitute for Brazilian Rosewood and it is very difficult to tell the two apart. The wood has color variations from chocolate or violet-brown to violet streaked with black, often streaked with golden-brown. The grain is straight, sometimes wavy. The texture is medium to coarse and the wood is oily to the touch. The tree is Native To Bolivia and Brazil
