Handcrafted Italian Olivewood Wine Bottle Stopper with Gift and Display Box
This Bottle Stopper is handcrafted with Italian Olivewood ~ Heartwood is light tan or yellowish brown, with contrasting darker brown or black streaks. Colors darken with age and sometimes is figured with wavy, wild or burly grain. Olive trees are commercially important throughout the natural regions where they grow. The olives harvested from the trees are most commonly made into olive oil. The trees in the Mediterranean region are reported to be thousands of years old. The trees are native to Europe and eastern Africa.
There are no stains or dyes, rather only a protective finish, to enhance the natural wood color.
The metal portion of the stopper is FDA kitchen grade stainless steel, which is very resistant to corrosion. The 3 O-rings will allow a snug fit in various bottle sizes, and the small profile draws the viewer to the handcrafted work instead of the metal part of the stopper. The stopper is sold with a gift and storage box.
To clean a bottle stopper, please use a damp cloth. Do not put this or any other art in your dishwasher!
